Molly Behind her Sheep
After our first lesson with our new trainer, we were summarily shifted for the large field to the ‘Puppy Pen’ to work on staying behind the sheep. in the beginning of the video you can see where the malfunction is as she goes out sooo wide on her flanks that she’s almost turn the sheep around. I’ve been a little hesitant to do alot with her wide arcing flanks because they are awfully handy. However this is just silly.Toward the end of the video, i started to not be so nervous and she started to settle and really show the kind of work that i’m used to getting from her. The meditative work work that just settles the soul and allows for new habits to sink in. As opposed to the Mad Banshee version of moving sheep. While both crude and effective, it makes my head hurt.
So the next step is to convince her to lie down when the sheep are moving. That should be funny and well worth pulling out the video camera again!
