WHEEEE!! Look at me!

Lets just start this off by understanding that I don’t like being the center of attention.  I’m that person that does things in the background to allow other folks to be successful.  I fix things, i organize things, I set things up and *someone else* gets to be the face person because that’s not where i am most useful.

So why… why why why has doG chosen to pair me with the dog that gets noticed alllll the time on her own, but now desires to be noticed so much that she will run about when she thinks people are watching her?  Apparently, i have somehow angered doG.  Or doG is looking for cheap entertainment. ;)

After working her beautifully at our new faster speed as recommended, Elsie appeared and… WHEEEEE! Look at me!! I can run around the entire field like a spoiled brat.  If you wear the special dog-decoder glasses, you can see the little cloud above her head that says “naanie naaanie naaaaanie. Wheeeee!”  I have never been so close to wanting to throttle my dog.

So we have a new plan of attack for this month: the rattle bottle.  When the sheep start to over run me, tap the bottle. If she tries to disengage instead of slowing down, bring her back to balance per usual.  She seemed to get it during the lesson. Not so much of a showoff then.   We’ll see how she does in practice.

I firmly believe doG is looking for cheap entertainment. The other possibility is I secretly crave public humiliation.
